The Arizona Wildcats are having a pretty good July on the recruiting trail, and Tuesday is turning out to be the best day of the month.
Isaiah Johnson, a 3-star defensive lineman from Chandler, has committed to Arizona according to Richard Obert of the Arizona Republic. He is the second commitment of the day for the Wildcats, following a pledge from 3-star California athlete TJ Hall earlier Tuesday.

Listed at 6-foot-2, 275 pounds, Johnson is not included in 247Sports’ composite rankings but is listed as the No. 28 player in Arizona and the 181st-best defensive line prospect in the 2022 class.
Johnson, who visited Arizona in early June, also held offers from Colorado, Idaho and Utah State. He plays for Chandler High School, the reigning state Open Division champion.
Johnson had 23 tackles (five for loss) and three sacks in a short 2020 season.
He is the 12th commitment for 2022 for Arizona, the fourth from within the state and the third from Chandler. Not including transfers, the Wildcats only signed one in-state player in the 2021 class.
