The Arizona Wildcats just completed their third weekend of official visits and the momentum is quickly building. Five prospects who have been on campus in that time have decided Tucson is where they want to play college football including two to announce on Monday.
Xaier Hiler, a 3-star cornerback from Texas, made if official on Monday after hours after another prospect from the Lone Star State pledged to the UA.

Hiler, who plays for Ryan High School in Denton, Texas, can be described in one word: rangy. He his tall, standing at 6-foot-4 and about 180 pounds, and that means range and length. He has long arms that allow him to disrupt the receiver, create separation and make plays on the ball. One thing that is impressive is the amount of ground he can cover while in zone coverage. He will need to add weight and strength in order to not get bullied by stronger receivers at the Power 4 level. It’ll be interesting to see how his skillset improves during his upcoming senior campaign.
Currently, he has nine reporting offers and chose Arizona over Oregon State, Bowling Green, Colorado State, Louisiana Tech, Montana State, Miami (OH), North Dakota and UTEP. He took one other official visit to Oregon State last weekend.
Ranking-wise, he comes in as a high 3-star in 247Sports’ internal rankings. That is good enough to place him as the No. 37 cornerback in the class and the 58th-best player in the Lone Star State. Hiler is not ranked in 247’s Composite ranking.
Hiler’s junior campaign had a pretty successful season last year. He finished with 31 tackles, five interceptions and seven pass breakups. He is the sixth defensive commit in the class including Texas safety Griffin Tillis, who also committed Monday after visiting last weekend with Hiler.
All told, Arizona has 10 prospects committed in the 2026 class. At this point a year ago it had three, two of which would sign in December.
