The summer months in Tucson aren’t just hot in terms of the weather, it’s also when Arizona catches fire on the recruiting trail. And a day removed from a second big weekend of prospects visiting campus, another has decided the Wildcats are the team for him.
Harvie Moeai, a 3-star edge rusher from Utah, has committed to Arizona as part of the 2026 recruiting class following an official visit.
First off i’d like to thank my Heavenly Father for the blessings that he’s given me! After great official visit i’m truly thankful to announce i’m 1000% committed to the University of Arizona! @coachjhemm @CoachJsalavea @ArizonaFBall @CoachBrennan @BrandonHuffman @BlairAngulo pic.twitter.com/weGS4wEAVq

The 6-foot-4, 225-pound Moeai is ranked by 247Sports as the No. 1,291 player in the 2026 class as well as the 100th-best edge rusher in the country and No. 20 prospect from Utah. He picked the Wildcats over offers from Air Force, Cal, Colorado State, Fresno State, UNLV, Utah State and Washington State, among others.
Moeai, who plays for Skyridge High School in Levi, was among a slew of prospects to visit the UA this past weekend. That visitor list included 3-star offensive lineman Malachi Joyner, who committed to the Wildcats on Sunday night.
Skyridge reached the Utah Class 6A semifinals last fall.
Moeai is Arizona’s seventh 2026 commit, second on the defensive side along with 3-star California linebacker Dash Fifita, younger brother of UA quarterback Noah Fifita. The Wildcats’ 2026 class is currently ranked 61st nationally by 247Sports as well as 13th in the Big 12.
