Four former Arizona Wildcats latched on to NFL teams Saturday as undrafted free agents, joining three players who were selected in the NFL Draft.
Running back Michael Wiley signed with the Washington Commanders, linebacker Taylor Upshaw signed with the Carolina Panthers, defensive lineman Tyler Manoa signed with the Minnesota Vikings and running back DJ Williams signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The UDFA signees were joined by former Arizona defensive back turned USC Trojan Christian Roland-Wallace, who signed with the Kansas City Chiefs.
They join draftees Jordan Morgan (Green Bay Packers), Jacob Cowing (San Francisco 49ers) and Tanner McLachlan (Cincinnati Bengals) as former Arizona players to find a home in the NFL. Arizona’s three draft picks were the program’s most since 2014.
Of the UDFAs, Wiley had the highest professional prospects heading into the draft. The fifth-year senior ran for more than 1,000 career yards and 16 touchdowns in college.
Wiley will compete for a spot in a Washington backfired that ranked near the bottom of the NFL last year in rushing yards per game.
