Former ASU offensive lineman Keona Peat has committed to Arizona out of the NCAA transfer portal. He is the older brother of Koa Peat, the 5-star forward that signed with the UA men’s basketball team last month.

The 6-foot-2, 265-pound Peat appeared in two games the previous two seasons for ASU, totaling 15 snaps, and will have three years of eligibility remaining. He was listed on the Sun Devils’ online roster as a center, giving the Wildcats another option at that position as they look to replace 4-year starter Josh Baker.
Transfers between Arizona and ASU are rare, but this is the third in football in the last few seasons. Ex-Wildcats Adama Fall and Jacob Kongaika recently went from Tucson to Tempe, with Kongaika playing 12 games for the Sun Devils last season including against the UA.
Peat is the fourth transfer addition for Arizona this spring, the second on the offensive line. The Wildcats previously signed ex-Albany guard/tackle Chance Roberts. Arizona has seven more offensive linemen arriving this summer, six from the prep ranks along with junior college transfer Siale Uluave from College of San Mateo.
