Might we see Tedy Bruschi and Rob Gronkowski at the spring game?
The Arizona Wildcats will begin spring practice on March 23 and will practice every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday for five consecutive weeks, head coach Jedd Fisch said Thursday at his signing day press conference.
The spring game will be on Saturday, April 24 and it could feature an appearance from new special advisor Tedy Bruschi. In January, Fisch also floated the idea of former UA tight end Rob Gronkowski coaching the spring game.
It is too early to know if any fans will allowed in attendance due to COVID-19 restrictions.
The spring will be a critical time for Fisch and his new staff to evaluate the roster and introduce their schemes. Coming off an 0-5 season, the Wildcats have plenty of playing time up for grabs, including at quarterback.
While USF transfer Jordan McCloud will not be with the team for the spring, Washington State transfer Gunner Cruz and returners Kevin Doyle and Will Plummer will be.
“We’re going to roll the balls out and let the best man win,” Fisch said. “That’s going to be our mentality in spring ball and in fall. We’re going to have a hefty quarterback room and it doesn’t really matter to me whether they were a scholarship player, walk-on or preferred walk-on.”
