The NCAA recruiting dead period is over and the Arizona Wildcats have wasted no time welcoming some of the best prospects in the country to campus.

2022 five-star recruits Jaden Bradley and Shaedon Sharpe were on campus this week. Bradley took an official visit this past weekend and Sharpe is currently on an unofficial visit.

Bradley, a five-star point guard, was Arizona’s first official visitor since the onset of the coronavirus pandemic—and for good reason. The North Carolina native is the No. 13 player in the 2022 class and No. 2 point guard. He attends IMG Academy in Florida.

Bradley took official visits to Michigan, Alabama, North Carolina and Arizona within a three-week span but is in no rush to make a decision. Bradley’s father told The Michigan Insider that “as a family, we stress family atmosphere,”

“I think there are a lot of programs out there that say ‘family’, but I think they leave out the word ‘dysfunctional’ on the front of it,” he said. “And we were able to kind of experience a lot of (family without the dysfunction) with Michigan (last) weekend.”

247Sports describes Bradley as a “throwback, traditional point guard who looks to run the offense, get others involved, and move the ball.”

“He has great size, knows how to manage a game, and always gets the ball to his teammates where they can be successful,” wrote 247Sports analyst Brandon Jenkins. “A solid to good athlete, Bradley can pressure the ball the length of the floor with his size and quickness. He is also a very good rebounding guard. He uses his body very well on both ends of the floor, plays strong with the ball in his hands, has a good understanding of how to play off a ball-screen, and is a good facilitator. When left open he can score, but he thrives more in the role of being an elite playmaking pass-first point.”

Sharpe, who began his unofficial visit to Arizona on Wednesday, is originally from Ontario, Canada and attends Dream City Christian in Glendale. 247Sports composite rankings peg him as the No. 68 player in the 2022 class and No. 4 player in Arizona. Rivals is very high on him, ranking him as a five-star prospect, the No. 11 player in the 2022 class and the No. 3 shooting guard.

The 6-foot-4 swingman also has offers from Kansas, Oregon, Kentucky, Alabama, Creighton, Illinois, Houston, Xavier, Cincinnati and Oklahoma. Sharpe has taken an official visit to Kentucky. He began his high school career at Sunrise Christian in Kansas before transferring to Dream City Christian.

“With a slick ball-handling skills, agile first step and cat-like leaping ability, Sharpe could be Dream City Christian’s most integral perimeter player for isolation plays, scoring in transition and dangerous to its opponent’s passing lanes,” wrote azcentral’s Dana Scott.

Sharpe also has international experience, playing for Team Canada in the 2019 FIBA U16 Americas Championship. He averaged 13 points, 3.7 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game.
