The 6-foot-7 senior averaged 17.6 points and 4.2 rebounds this season while shooting 41 percent from the field and 35 percent from 3. The craziest stat of all? Rice hoisted 264 3-pointers, the second-most in the country. That’s 10.3 per game. Arizona as a team only averaged 18.0.
Rice split time between the 3 and 4 for the Bulldogs, who went 13-12. He was selected to the SoCon All-Second Team.
Here are some highlights from his 20-point game vs. Furman in January. Rice has a lightning-quick release and does not need much space to get his shot off.
Rice is the fourth transfer Arizona has been linked to. The others are:
- George Washington wing Jamison Battle
- Pitt guard/forward Au’Diese Toney
- Robert Morris forward AJ Bramah
They all measure at 6-foot-6 or 6-foot-7.
