The AP Poll released its rankings for Week 6 of the college basketball season and saw a brand new No. 1 overall team, its third top team of the season. This week’s new No. 1 team – Arizona – is 8-0 with wins against Florida, UCLA, UConn and Auburn.
The Wildcats are set to meet No. 12 Alabama on Saturday, December 13th in Birmingham, Alabama, as part of C.M. Newton Classic.
In addition to Arizona’s top ranking, Michigan has moved into the spot of the overall betting favorite to win the 2026 NCAA National Championship, according to BetOnline.ag. The Wolverines have won three games by 40+ points, including a 40-point thrashing against Gonzaga in Las Vegas. They are to next face Villanova on Tuesday, December 9th at home in Ann Arbor.
Michigan is followed closely by UConn, Duke and Arizona in the early betting odds for this season’s national champion.
