Monday was a good day for Arizona softball. Not only did former Indiana pitcher Jenae Berry publicly announce her commitment, but three position players joined her. Former Ole Miss outfielder Addison Duke, former San Diego outfielder Tele Jennings, and former Iowa State second baseman Sereniti Trice announced their commitments to the Wildcats.
The group all has youth on its side. Trice, Berry, and Duke just finished their freshman seasons. Jennings was a sophomore in 2025.
Trice is the big get of the position players. Softball America has her as a four-star transfer recruit with a score of 90. The All-Big 12 Second Team and unanimous Big 12 All-Freshman honoree started 53 of Iowa State’s 54 games in her rookie campaign.
Trice served as the Cyclones’ leadoff hitter in 48 games and hit .354. She also drew 10 walks for a .392 on-base percentage. She led the team with 14 stolen bases. She was 14 for 17 on stolen base attempts. She also scored the most runs for ISU, coming around 44 times.
Trice had her season come to an end when Iowa State fell to Arizona in the Big 12 Softball Tournament semifinals. The Cyclones finished the regular season third in the Big 12, but their RPI killed their chances to get into the NCAA Tournament.
Trice is from San Diego, where she played her prep ball for Cathedral Catholic alongside incoming Arizona freshman Sinalei Talataina. She played travel ball for the Corona Angels.
Duke did not get a lot of opportunities at Ole Miss this year. The lefty made two starts and had 16 at-bats. She was successful in those opportunities, though. She hit .375 and drew two walks. She scored 12 runs for the Rebels.
Like Berry, Duke is returning to her home state. She played her prep ball at Gila Ridge in Yuma. She played travel for Athletics Mercado.
Duke was part of the team that dismissed Arizona from the postseason at the Tucson Regional. They then went to Arkansas and dismissed the Razorbacks to make their first Women’s College World Series.
Softball America has Duke as a three-star transfer recruit with a score of 87.
Jennings is the sister of former Oklahoma star Tiare Jennings. The outfielder has played both right and left field for San Diego. She has 80 starts in 90 appearances in her two years with the Toreros, although all of her stats saw a sophomore slump this season.
Jennings has a career batting average of .239 with 3 home runs, 20 doubles, and 1 triple. She has drawn 20 walks in 258 plate appearances, with 19 of those coming in her freshman season.
She played prep ball for Mary Star of the Sea High School and was part of the OC Batbusters-Stith travel team.
Jennings is rated a three-star recruit with a score of 81 by Softball America.
The quartet gives Arizona five additions, including former Iowa pitcher Jalen Adams. Adams announced her commitment on Sunday. That brings the 2026 roster to 18, including the four incoming freshmen. The Wildcats could probably still use another arm and another outfielder.
