Jedd Fisch’s new coaching staff will also include a new head strength and conditioning coach.
That’s because Brian Johnson, who manned the position for the Arizona Wildcats during the Kevin Sumlin era, is leaving for the same job at Arkansas State, according to The Athletic’s Bruce Feldman.

Prior to joining the Wildcats, Johnson was the assistant strength and conditioning coach for Sumlin at Texas A&M for the 2017 season. He’s also worked for the San Francisco 49ers, LSU Tigers, Akron Zips and Florida State Seminoles.
Johnson was well-liked among Arizona’s players but it shouldn’t be too much of a surprise that Fisch would prefer to bring in his own guys.
Johnson’s 2020 salary was $175,000.
