The Arizona Wildcats have reached out to former Creighton commit TyTy Washington and are scheduled to meet with him virtually on Friday, according to Stockrisers’ Jake Weingarten.
Arizona, Georgetown, Arkansas, and Texas Tech have all reached out to former Creighton pledge TyTy Washington as well, his coach told @Stockrisers.

Washington is the No. 30 player and No. 3 point guard in the 2021 class, per 247Sports composite rankings. The 6-foot-3 guard is also the No. 2 player in Arizona. He attends Compass Prep in Chandler.
Washington decommitted from Creighton on Thursday after head coach Greg McDermott made racially insensitive comments.
Washington’s 247Sports scouting report reads as follows:
Consistently productive point guard with good size and length. Solid frame with plenty of room to add strength. Has nice combination of scoring and creating for point guard position. Has ball skills and vision to consistently create for others while his jumper is playable to the perimeter. Finishes well at rim due to physical tools. Has ability to defend both guard positions at next level due to instincts and length. Projects as high major starter with professional upside if game continues to progress.
Washington isn’t an obvious fit with Arizona since the Wildcats have already signed three guards and are set to return James Akinjo, Kerr Kriisa, Jemarl Baker Jr. and maybe even Terrell Brown Jr. in their backcourt next season.
Washington would be their highest rank commit by 50 spots, though, so why not show interest?
