Arizona incoming freshman Koa Peat is making an opening statement at the FIBA U19 World Cup.
Playing for Team USA under Arizona coach Tommy Lloyd, Peat has put up back-to-back performances that should have Wildcats fans excited for what’s to come later this year.
Peat scored 17 points on 8 of 12 shooting in USA’s 108-77 win over France Sunday in Switzerland. Peat played a team-high 25:35 and recorded three rebounds, two steals and two assists. Peat also had seven turnovers and went 1 of 4 from the free throw line.
