New Arizona women’s basketball coach Becky Burke signed four players in the class of 2025 while at Buffalo. Daniah Trammell became the second of those four to announce her commitment to Arizona.

Trammell comes from Winton Woods High School in Cincinnati, OH, where she was a two-sport athlete. The 6-foot-1 forward also played softball.
Trammell helped lead Winton Woods to its first state championship. The Lady Warriors finished 28-0 on their way to a Division II title. She played club basketball for Sports City Angels.
When Trammell signed with Buffalo, Burke praised her play on both ends of the court.
“Daniah is a special talent, Burke said. “She competes at an extremely high level on both ends of the floor, and I love that about her. She’s definitely going to test opponents’ competitiveness and fire because hers is as good as it gets. I think she’s selfless and loves the game of basketball which helps her embrace her role, whatever that may be, to help her team win. I expect Daniah to make an immediate impact on this program.”
In addition to Buffalo, Trammell had offers from Kent State, Monmouth, Toledo, Bowling Green, Siena, USC Upstate, and UNC Wilmington, among others.
Trammell was one of 10 national finalists for the Jersey Mike’s Naismith High School Basketball Courage Award. The award honors players who have overcome obstacles to achieve athletically.
Trammell’s stats are not available on MaxPreps, but she has highlights on her HUDL profile.
Trammell officially increases the freshman class to three players. She joins former Auburn commit Ogheneruona Miracle and former Buffalo commit Molly Ladwig.
The program also added Kamryn Kitchen, who was originally a member of the 2025 class. Kitchen reclassified to the 2024 class but redshirted at Virginia last year. She has four years of eligibility.
Arizona now has 12 players committed for next season. If Maya Nnaji is using a basketball scholarship as she did last year, it leaves two open scholarships.
