Jedd Fisch and the Arizona Wildcats went east to land another player, receiving a commitment from 2021 two-way player Anthony Simpson on Friday.

The running back/safety attends Bloomfield High School in Connecticut where this season he stuffed the stat sheet by rushing for 1,242 yards and 24 touchdowns on 105 carries, catching 75 passes for 1,249 yards and 19 touchdowns, while logging 20 tackles (two for loss) 10 interceptions, four pass breakups, two forced fumbles and a sack.
Arizona was his first FBS offer, though his 247Sports profile says UConn was interested as well.
The news of his commitment came right around the time Florida-based defensive back Isaiah Taylor, the son of NFL Hall of Famer Jason Taylor, committed to the Wildcats.
With both of them in the fold, Arizona now has 20 commitments for the 2021 class. Neither Taylor nor Simpson were rated by 247Sports composite rankings.
