Dylan Anderson was the first recruit to sign with Arizona after Tommy Lloyd, but he couldn’t find a role with the Wildcats. His next stop will be playing for another coach from the same tree.
Anderson has committed to Boise State, where he will have three years of eligibility remaining after spending two seasons at Arizona. The Broncos are coached by Leon Rice, who before taking over Boise in 2010 was an assistant at Gonzaga alongside Lloyd.

he 7-foot Anderson appeared in 15 games with the UA in 2022-23 as a freshman, averaging 1.4 points and 0.6 rebounds in 3.6 minutes per contest. He redshirted last season in hopes of developing his game for a bigger role with the Wildcats next year and beyond.
Anderson, from Gilbert, committed to the UA on April 16, 2021, the day after Lloyd was hired to replace Sean Miller. He was a 4-star prospect who picked the Wildcats over Gonzaga, among others.
All five of Arizona’s scholarship players who entered the NCAA transfer portal after the 2023-24 season have committed elsewhere. Anderson joins center Oumar Ballo (Indiana), forward Paulius Murauskas (Saint Mary’s), wing Filip Borovicanin (New Mexico) and guard Kylan Boswell (Illinois). Only walk-on guard Grant Weitman has yet to announce his next school.
