He’ll take the place of Kevin Green Jr., who entered the portal Monday
Arizona had more than 70 visitors in attendance for its Spring Game on Saturday night, and that experience apparently went well for Reymello Murphy.
The former Old Dominion wide receiver has committed to the UA for 2024. He brings with him two seasons of eligibility.
The 6-foot, 185-pound Murphy appeared in 13 games last season for the Monarchs, catching 28 passes for 502 yards and three touchdowns. He also returned seven punts, including a long of 25.
Originally from San Jose, Calif., Murphy spent the 2022 season at College of San Mateo, the same school that UA defensive lineman Cyrus Durham and defensive back Johno Price played last year.
Murphy’s commitment comes on the same day Arizona saw a receiver enter the portal. Kevin Green Jr. did so after participating in spring ball, one in which he was part of the mix for the third WR starting spot after appearing in 15 games over two seasons with eight catches for 97 yards.
Arizona has now landed seven players from the portal this month, three since spring practice ended.
