Welcome back, fans.

The Arizona Wildcats announced Sunday that a limited number of fans will be allowed to attend UA baseball and softball games moving forward.

That means the first event open to the Wildcat faithful is Arizona baseball’s upcoming home series vs. Wichita State that runs from Thursday through Sunday at Hi Corbett Field. The softball team is currently on the road and does not have another home game until they welcome Oregon State to Hillenbrand Stadium for a four-game series beginning March 26.

Only family and player guests have been able to attend UA events since college sports were cancelled last March due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The athletic department did not specify how many fans will be able to attend UA softball and baseball games, but did email season-ticket holders to detail how the ticketing process and safety protocols will work.

Baseball season-ticket holders will be able to purchase tickets on Tuesday, March 9, starting with the folks with the most Wildcat Club priority points. Any unsold tickets will be released to the general public on March 10.

The same process will be used for softball, only the dates are March 16 and March 18, respectively. Only two softball tickets can be purchased at a time due to limited inventory.

Here’s how the UA email laid the season-ticket holder priority order (again, any unsold tickets will be made available to the public):

Beginning on March 9:

  • 9 a.m. MST – Baseball tickets available for purchase for baseball season ticket holders with 5,000 or more Wildcat Club priority points
  • 12 p.m. MST – Baseball tickets available for purchase for baseball season ticket holders with 1,000 to 4,999 Wildcat Club priority points
  • 2 p.m. MST – Baseball tickets available for purchase for baseball season ticket holders with 1 to 999 Wildcat Club priority points

Beginning on March 16:

  • 9 a.m. MST – Softball tickets available for purchase for softball season ticket holders with 5,000 or more Wildcat Club priority points
  • 12 p.m. MST – Softball tickets available for purchase for softball season ticket holders with 1,000 to 4,999 Wildcat Club priority points
  • 2 p.m. MST – Softball tickets available for purchase for softball season ticket holders with 1 to 999 Wildcat Club priority points

Tickets must be purchased online or at 520-621-2287.

All fans attending games will have to adhere to these rules:

  • Wearing a mask at all times
  • Completing the University of Arizona’s Daily Wellness Check on the day of the event prior to arriving and showing completion to event staff before entering the facility
  • Sitting in the designated seat assignment on your ticket at all times except for the use of restrooms
  • Adhering to Arizona Athletics’ clear bag policy
  • Concessions stands will not be open. Snacks and sealed non-alcoholic beverages will be permitted. More information regarding food options to come.
  • Gates will open 60 minutes prior to the start of the event and any remaining ticket sales, if available, will end 90 minutes after first pitch at baseball and after the third inning at softball
