First spring portal pickup
Arizona loaded up on offensive linemen during the winter in an effort to retool that crucial position group. All the starting spots remain up for grabs, though, as the Wildcats are set to welcome several freshman linemen this summer and will use all of training camp up determine their best five blockers.
They’re also bringing in another veteran option, as former Albany lineman Chance Roberts has committed to play his final season in Tucson.

The 6-foot-5, 300-pound Roberts has played 34 games in his college career, starting nine times at tackle last season for the Great Danes. He has also played guard.
Arizona offensive coordinator said Saturday, after the Spring Showcase, that he’d be interested in adding an interior offensive lineman to make up for the loss of Jordan Brown. Brown, a transfer from Georgia Tech, suffered an injury during spring ball and is out indefinitely.
Roberts is the sixth transfer OL added from the portal and the 26th overall portal pickup. He has one season of eligibility remaining.
