The 6-foot-6 Townsend transferred to Arizona from Oakland, where he was the 2023-24 Horizon League Player of the Year. Townsend averaged a career-high 17.3 points and 8.1 rebounds his final season at Oakland.
Townsend become the third player from last year’s Arizona team to sign on with an NBA team for Summer League, joining San Antonio Spurs first round draft pick Carter Bryant and Portland Trail Blazers undrafted signee Caleb Love.
