Kedrick Reescano, No. 8 RB In 2023 Class, Announces Transfer Commitment

Kedrick Reescano revealed his new school on Wednesday night.

The Ole Miss transfer announced his commitment to Arizona in a social media video. Reescano entered the spring portal at the end of April.

Reescano decommitted from Michigan State to join Lane Kiffin’s program last year. The four-star recruit scored 36 touchdowns with over 2,000 scrimmage yards during his senior year at New Caney (Texas) High School.

Per 247Sports, Reescano ranked No. 8 among running back recruits from the class of 2023.

The 6-foot, 210-pound back didn’t touch the ball during his first season with the Rebels. He watched Quinshon Judkins shoulder the backfield duties with 1,158 rushing yards and 15 touchdowns.

An opportunity could have opened for Reescano after Judkins transferred to Ohio State. However, sixth-year senior Ulysses Bentley IV will likely become the SEC program’s new featured back after averaging 5.7 yards per carry in a complementary role last season.

Reescano will instead compete for more carries at Arizona, which averaged 139.7 rushing yards per game last season. Last year’s leading rusher, Jonah Coleman, followed head coach Jedd Fisch to Washington this offseason.

Jordan Washington, another former four-star recruit, also transferred from Arizona to Washington.

With an Alamo Bowl victory over Oklahoma, the Wildcats matched their highest season win tally (10) of the last 25 seasons. Brent Brennan will replace Fish after seven seasons at San Jose State.

Brennan brought running back Quali Conley, who scored nine touchdowns for the Spartans last season.
