
The Pac-12 as we know it is gone, but for one night it will get a national TV audience to wrap up the first weekend of the NCAA Tournament.
Arizona’s 2nd round game with Oregon is set for a 6:40 p.m. PT tip on Sunday night at Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, with the game airing on TBS. The winner advances to the East Regional in Newark, N.J., where they’ll face either Duke or Baylor on Thursday in the Sweet 16.
Fourth-seeded Arizona (23-12) has opened as a 4.5-point favorite over the fifth-seeded Ducks (25-9), per FanDuel Sportsbook. The over/under is set at 152.5.
The Wildcats and Ducks last met just over a year ago in the Pac-12 Tournament semifinals, with Oregon winning 67-59 en route to claiming the conference tourney title. Two weeks earlier Arizona beat Oregon 103-83 in its regular-season home finale.
While the UA has since moved to the Big 12 the Ducks have joined the Big Ten Conference, where in its first season it finished in eighth place in the 18-team league and reached the conference tourney quarterfinals.
Arizona owns a 55-38 lead on Oregon in the all-time series, but this will be the first time they’re facing off in the NCAA tourney.
Arizona’s 93-65 win over No. 13 Akron on Friday night was its largest margin of victory in an NCAA tourney game since 2006. It also only the second time in eight tourney games under Tommy Lloyd that it has covered the spread. The Wildcats are 12-16-2 ATS in their last 30 NCAA contests.
