The Arizona Wildcats are one of 10 finalists for Oral Roberts transfer Kevin Obanor, he announced Saturday on Twitter.
The 6-foot-8 forward is also considering Oklahoma, Maryland, Illinois, Arkansas, Florida, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, Creighton and Alabama. He will be “making a decision soon” and wants fans of those schools to tweet and follow him.
I’m thankful for all the coaches that have offered me an opportunity to play at their schools! I wanna know what the fan base & support is looking like, keep the noise going! Where is the most love at

Obanor would be a big addition to Arizona’s frontcourt, which is thin on depth. The Houston native averaged 18.7 points and 9.6 rebounds as a junior last season, while shooting 50 percent from the field and 46 percent from 3.
Obanor exploded onto the national scene during ORU’s NCAA Tournament run. He led the No. 15 seed Golden Eagles to a first round upset over Ohio State, scoring 30 points and collecting 11 rebounds. Obanor had then had 28 points and 11 rebounds in ORU’s second round win over Florida.
Obanor entered the portal last week and was immediately contacted by Arizona, which is looking, though not likely, to fill its two remaining scholarship spots.
“His positional versatility and all-around game make him an appealing late addition to the portal,” wrote David Cobb of CBS Sports.
