That’s 4 this month
June was a big month for Arizona football’s recruiting efforts last year ahead of Brent Brennan’s first season, when many of its 2025 signees committed, and history looks to be repeating itself.
On Monday the Wildcats landed their fourth pledge during the sixth month of the year, this one from Texas safety Griffin Tillis.
110% committed!!!
Thank-you to my family, coaches, and teammates for supporting me through every step.

The 5-foot-11,185-pound Tillis is listed by 247Sports under its athlete category, having played wide receiver and safety for Spring High School in Grand Oaks, Texas. He was recruited to the UA to play safety, with assistant Brett Arce his main recruiter.
Unranked to this point, Tillis figures to get slotted as a 3-star prospect when his profile is updated.
Tillis is the fourth 2026 player to commit to Arizona this month since it started hosting official visits, having checked out campus this past weekend. The previous three—offensive lineman Malachi Joyner, edge Harvie Moeai and receiver RJ Mosley—committed after visiting June 6-7.
All told the UA has eight committed for 2026, the third on the defensive side and second from Texas. Arizona’s 2025 class included nine Texas signees.
