The Coyotes completely dropped tonight’s game against the Edmonton Oilers, falling 5-1 in regulation
Game Recap
It’s still early, but tonight will definitely be a low point in the Arizona Coyotes. Despite facing an Edmonton Oilers with a weak defense and a backup goaltender, the Coyotes still failed to generate any kind of consistent offense, completely leaving goaltender Karel Vejmelka out to dry.
Perhaps the only bright spot was that defenseman Dysin Mayo, who got his first NHL goal in his first NHL game. Mayo drew in for Victor Söderström, who sat his first game of the season, and though he had a few defensive lapses, made up for it with the lone Coyotes goal of the game.

Three Stars
- Sol – Giver of life, helps plants grow, burns you if you don’t wear sunscreen.
- Udo Kier – I watched Flesh for Frankenstein earlier this week, and he is really good in it. Also, watch Blood for Dracula.
- Dysin Mayo – First career goal in his first career game. Unfortunately, everything else.
Next Game
The Coyotes will not have a lot of time to dwell on tonight, and they will be back in action on Saturday against the New York Islanders at 6:00 pm.
