The 29-year-old forward has reportedly signed a one-year deal with Arizona worth $1.1 million. He scored eight goals and 13 points in 40 games with Carolina and Ottawa in 2020–21.

The Arizona Coyotes have reportedly agreed to terms on a one-year contract with former Ottawa Senators forward Ryan Dzingel.

According to Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman, Dzingel’s contract with Arizona is worth $1.1 million.

Dzingel split the 2020–21 season between the Carolina Hurricanes and Ottawa Senators. In 29 games after being traded to Ottawa, he scored six goals and added three assists.

In 372 career NHL games with Ottawa, Columbus, and Carolina, Dzingel has scored 82 goals and 180 points. He made his initial mark in the NHL during Ottawa’s surprising 2016–17 season, scoring 14 goals and 32 points in 81 regular-season games before appearing in 15 playoff contests during the Senators’ run to the Eastern Conference final.

Dzingel scored 44 points with Ottawa in 2017–18 before netting a career-high 26 goals and 56 points with the Senators and Blue Jackets in 2018–19. He signed a two-year deal with the Hurricanes in 2019 as an unrestricted free agent before being sent back to Ottawa in February of this year.

According to Evolving-Hockey, Dzingel provided +2.9 expected goals above replacement in 2020–21. Among members of last season’s Coyotes, only Jakob Chychrun, Clayton Keller, Nick Schmaltz, Michael Bunting, Johan Larsson, Dryden Hunt, Alex Goligoski, and Conor Garland fared better in that category.
