A few former Coyotes were on the move at the deadline.

After a flurry of moves at the April 12 NHL trade deadline, teams are positioning themselves for either a playoff push or a rebuild. However, some moves grabbed more attention than others.
According to 31 percent of fans in the latest SB Nation Reacts survey, the Boston Bruins acquiring Taylor Hall was the biggest move at the deadline. Washington’s trade to bring in Anthony Mantha received the next most votes, with 26 percent of the total, and Toronto getting Nick Foligno earned 24 percent.
Hall is a former Arizona Coyotes player, and his stock seems to have gone done since the Coyotes acquired him.
Arizona needed to send Nick Merkley, Nate Schnarr, Kevin Bahl, a conditional first-round pick, and a conditional third-round pick to acquire Hall. The Bruins were able to acquire him for the low price of Anders Bjork and a 2021 second-round pick.
Hall seemed like he would be a good fit playing with Jack Eichel and under coach Ralph Krueger, but it proved to be a complete disaster. In 37 games he had just 2 goals and 17 assists, compared to the 10 goals and 17 assists he had with the Coyotes in 25 games.
That poor showing and the flat-cap likely contributed to a low return for the former Hart Trophy winner.

Another former Coyote popped up in the poll, Richard Pánik who went from the Washington Capitals to the Detroit Red Wings. Pánik was in his second year with the Capitals, and had 3 goals and 6 assists in 36 games this season.
For the Coyotes specifically, 50 percent of fans are confident the team is headed in the right direction after the deadline.
Arizona has dropped their last five games but they remain in the playoff race. There are reasons for confidence, but unless the team makes some big changes not much.
