The Arizona Diamondbacks made two roster moves on Saturday by activating pitcher Brett de Geus and optioning pitcher Corbin Martin to Triple-A Reno.
De Geus was claimed by the D-backs after being designated for assignment by the Texas Rangers on Wednesday.
He has appeared in 19 games this season posting a 8.44 ERA and 1.65 WHIP in 26.2 innings pitched.
He has also recorded 26 strikeouts and 13 walks.
Martin struggled for Arizona on Friday against the San Diego Padres, giving up back-to-back homers to start the game before getting pulled after recording one out on 25 pitches.
De Geus will wear No. 59 for Arizona.
The D-backs will look to snap the 24-game road losing skid in Game 2 of the three-game set against the Padres in San Diego, with a pitching matchup of Merrill Kelly vs. Dinelson Lamet.
First pitch is set for 7:10 p.m. Catch all the action on ESPN 620 AM.
