It paid off with players like Corbin Carroll, Alek Thomas and Brandon Pfaadt, draft picks developed into key contributors to the team’s World Series appearance last season.
The D-backs on Sunday began the 2024 MLB Draft by selecting prep outfielder Slade Caldwell with the No. 29 overall pick in the first round.
Rounds 3-10 takes place on Monday and Rounds 11-20 on Tuesday.
