Bringing the real rattle…
Greetings from Albuquerque Day 2. Spent the morning wandering around Old Town, and felt obliged to go into the Rattlesnake Museum and Gift Shop there. I’ve still not seen a live rattlesnake in Arizona, but made up for lost time here. Hopefully, the Arizona Black Rattlesnake above will prove capable of breaking the hoodoo surrounding the team of late. If we win, further sneks will be posted. I’m hoping we go on such a streak, I run out of photos and have to use the one of me being attacked by a plush snake there.
Related: We are no longer welcome in the Rattlesnake Museum and Gift Shop.
Also went round the Breaking Bad Store, which is a lot of fun for fans of the show. Immense amount of props and other memorabilia, and a bunch of photo ops, e.g. Mrs SnakePit sitting on the “Better Call Saul” bench. Pretty damn cold here though. High today is only 54F. Easy to forget that Albuquerque is 5,312 feet up. Helps explain why the PCL is such a hitter-friendly place – it’s not just Reno! Sadly, won’t be able to take in an Isotopes game while I’m here, though given the temperature, that’s probably not a bad thing!
Hopefully both you and the Diamondbacks…
