The D-backs come back after a 3-3 road-trip. That’s… okay. Let’s just ignore the fact they started out on it 3-0, with one of the most dramatic comeback wins in franchise history. Given that, the subsequent sweep in Cincinnati would have to be classed as a disappointment. But nothing can be done: the team has to regroup and keep fighting their way back to the .500 mark. Merrill Kelly will need to be the staff ace, now that Corbin Burnes has seen his season end. It’s not going to be easy.

Last night in Scotland for me. Back down to Heathrow tomorrow morning, then out to Phoenix in the afternoon. Tomorrow’s Gameday Thread will therefore be very bare bones, since I’ll be on a flight across the Atlantic at first pitch! It has been a good few days. Weather has largely cooperated, and much socializing was done. Went to my high-school reunion, which was fun. One guy I went to school with, now has a nephew who’s a college baseball player – Andrew Hart at NJIT. If the Diamondbacks sign him, you heard here first.
