I don’t really have much to write here, having paid even less attention to the American League East this year than usual. I do recall the angst of Yankees fans on those glorious days when they dropped into fourth place. But nothing a 13-game winning streak couldn’t fix. Fun fact: the Yankees have retired every number from 1 through 10 inclusive. Including #8 twice, on the same day in 1972, and Reggie Jackson’s 44, even though he played only five years in New York, and had more games for both the Angels and the Athletics.
Go, Red Sox, I guess?
