Diamondbacks Extend Dubious Record with Loss to Nationals
The Diamondbacks have now lost 10 games this season in which they scored six or more runs. No other team in the league has lost more than five such games. Only the Rockies have a lower winning percentage in games which the team has scored six or more runs.
Lovullo Takes Mom’s Advice, Moves Perdomo Up in Lineup
Torey Lovullo received some advice from his mother, Grace. She advised the skipper to throw out the analytics and go with his gut. The result was moving Geraldo Perdomo up from ninth to third in the batting order.
Diamondbacks Designate Joe Mantiply
At least no one can fault the Diamondbacks for not sticking with him and giving him every opportunity to turn things around. However, it seems that Mantiply’s time in the desert has now, almost thankfully, come to an end. May he rebound and find success elsewhere.
