Arizona Rally Comes up Just Short
The Diamondbacks entered the eighth inning down two Then Tay Scott surrendered a two-run blast to put the Diamondbacks into an even deeper hole. This would become the game. The Diamondbacks then proceeded to load the bases with no one out in the ninth and to push three runs across before a game-ending double play that finished off Arizona with the tying run standing on third with less than two outs.
Suarez Returns and Other Health Updates
D-backs third baseman Eugenio Suarez returned to the batting order on Friday after missing two games. He was hit in the hand by a pitch on Monday and came out of the game. No MRI was deemed necessary. Corbin Carroll leads the way in terms of returning from the IL after various injuries have sidelined much of the team.
