After a more than disappointing first road trip of the season, the Diamondbacks head back to the Valley for their Home Opener
Definately not the start to the season anyone was hoping for, though I’m not sure you could call it entirely unexpected either.

(AZ Central) Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo staying optimistic after series loss to Rockies
“Seven games into a new season, the Diamondbacks have looked ominously similar to last year’s team. Their rotation is struggling. Their offense is inconsistent. They are making mistakes in the field and on the bases. And they are losing games at an unhealthy clip.”
I’m just glad I don’t have Lovullo’s job of trying to make positives out of this…
(MLB Trade Rumors) Diamondbacks Place Ketel Marte On 10-Day Injured List, Recall Andrew Young
“This is a tough blow for the Diamondbacks, who are off to a 2-4 start this season. Marte is off to an incredible .462/.500/.846 start to the season, already posting 0.7 fWAR in six games. The long-term outlook is as of yet unclear.”
This. This is why I’m glad I don’t have Lovullo’s job.
“The Arizona Diamondbacks will be in unique company this season.
The team is one of seven MLB teams scheduled to get a new jersey as part of Nike’s MLB City Connect Series, a series similar to that of the NBA’s City Edition jerseys.”
This is something I’m really excited for, however. I wasn’t a huge fan of the Suns Valley jerseys right at first, but they’ve grown on me (IDK how much their winning has to do with that), and I’m excited to see what is in store for the Diamondbacks.
(ABC15) New food at Chase Field: All the new concessions to try at Arizona Diamondbacks games
Nothing super crazy this year, which probably can be blamed on COVID making everything less interesting. Some tasty sounding stuff in here, but nothing that screams “I should write this up for Fang Food!” Sad…

(Yahoo! Sports) Trevor Bauer rips report about MLB removing suspicious baseballs
“Early in Bauer’s start against the Athletics at the Coliseum in Oakland on Wednesday, at least one baseball was removed for inspection regarding a foreign substance according to A’s radio broadcaster Vince Cotroneo.
On Thursday, The Athletic’s Ken Rosenthal reported, citing major-league sources, that multiple baseballs used by Bauer were collected by umpires and sent to the league office for examination.”
In a shocking turn of events, after spending months trying to make himself the center of attention, Bauer doesn’t like it when people pay attention to him.
The Mets starter is away from the team, still rehabbing from Tommy John surgery, but he wanted to see his boys play during their home opener Thursday. Syndergaard detailed on his Instagram story his experience of trying to watch them but being struck down by the blackout rules.
(TSN) Report: Bisons to move to NJ to accommodate Jays
The Buffalo News’s Mike Harrington reports that Major League Baseball is working on a plan to move the Triple-A Bisons, the regular tenants of Sahlen Field and the Jays’ affiliates, temporarily to Trenton, NJ, in order for the Jays to once again the use the stadium in downtown Buffalo. There was no conflict in 2020 with the minor-league season cancelled due to the pandemic
