Eugenio Suarez hit a go-ahead grand slam and Eduardo Rodriguez threw a quality start for the Arizona Diamondbacks in a 5-2 victory over the Seattle Mariners on Wednesday at Chase Field.

The homer did more than just send the Diamondbacks on the way to victory, it also was a big home run personally for Suárez.
It gave the veteran 295 career homers, which broke a tie with Magglio Ordonez for third all-time among Venezuela-born players, behind Miguel Cabrera (511) and Andres Galarraga (399).

(Arizona Sports) D-backs might have what they needed all along following series sweep vs. Mariners
[Ed. Note] It’s not often I find myself agreeing with Dan Bickley. To put it bluntly, I find him to be the walking, talking, ranting personification of clickbait. However, there might be something to his idea that the Diamondbacks have been striped backed down to their core, and maybe that’s for the best.
(Sports Illustrated) D-backs’ Zac Gallen Opens Up On Trade Rumors, Corbin Burnes and More
Gallen is one such trade candidate, though his results have been admittedly frustrating for both him and fans of the D-backs. He’s pitched to a 5.15 ERA so far, with dominant outings sprinkled amongst disappointing ones, including a recent late-inning meltdown against the Reds on Sunday.
But ever the professional, Gallen met openly with members of the media on Monday. He was his usual candid, genuine self as he faced some of the tougher topics weighing on Arizona’s collective minds..

(Yahoo! Sports) Why is Red Sox rookie Roman Anthony such a big deal? And what type of player could he become?
Through his first two games, Anthony has already offered a tantalizing glimpse of what made him such a highly touted prospect. That includes blistering a ball at 111.2 mph, which signaled that from a skill standpoint, Anthony is ready to compete at the highest level.
Anthony is MLB’s top prospect because his offensive ceiling is stratospheric.
[Ed. Note] tl’dr we know that we were the ones who were trying to convince everyone that the Dodgers would win 120 games, but here’s why it’s not our fault we’re wrong!
In our annual anonymous player poll conducted this spring, we asked more than 100 of them which opposing managers they would and wouldn’t want to play for, as well as which rival organizations have good and bad reputations among players.
This was far from a scientific survey. Even when granted anonymity in exchange for their candor, modern professional athletes can tend to be measured in their assessments or opinions of other organizations. Still, ballplayers are going to be ballplayers. There were more than a few interesting answers.
