The Suns stars will try to repeat as Olympic gold medalists.
Phoenix Suns stars and likely All-NBA selections Devin Booker and Kevin Durant are part of USA’s 12-man squad for this summer’s Paris Olympics, as reported by The Athletic’s Shams Charania.
Among the 10 NBA standouts joining the Phoenix stars is Anthony Edwards, whose Minnesota Timberwolves will host the Suns in the playoffs beginning Saturday.

Booker and Durant won gold together in the (delayed to 2021 due to the pandemic) 2020 Tokyo Olympics after the Suns lost in the 2021 NBA Finals to the Milwaukee Bucks.
In Tokyo, Durant led USA with 20.7 points per game and added a second-best 3.7 assists per game. He also won MVP of the tournament. Booker added 9.3 points, 3.2 rebounds, 1.8 assists and a second-best 1.5 steals per game. His defense shined as a role player.
Edwards scored a team-high 18.9 points per game for USA at the 2023 World Cup, where USA did not medal.
The two vets will look to beat the younger Olympic teammate in the playoffs before guiding him to his first gold medal — and in defense of their own.
